The trouble with going shopping unprepared is the fact that you walk out of the place with nothing to actually make a decent meal with let alone something from your diet meal plan. I have found it the best idea to sit down and really think out what it is you will be going to eat over the next few days and then decide what ingredients you will require to prepare each meal. So I sit down at the kitchen table and decide what to buy before I leave the house.
First I cover breakfast for my diet meal plan by deciding what it is I might like to have for breakfast each morning over the next week. I may like to have a variety of different breakfast meals either over each day or a few different things each morning. There is always the stable food which for me is weight watchers cereal and whole meal toast and jam. Both light on the butter and on the jam for my toast. Sometimes I might like a juice to go with breakfast or perhaps for something different I will have an English muffin or some instant porridge.
Lunch is next so I decide what it is I will be eating for lunch for a few days. I never like to go over a few day fresh food supplies so that I don’t risk them spoiling too early. If the bakery has brown buns then I will take 6 of these to make some nice ham and salad rolls with fresh lettuce, tomato, cucumber, cheese and a tad of low fat mayonnaise. The meat in always unprocessed, usually ham of the bone or roasted chicken pieces. I like to have a piece of fresh fruit with my lunch to really top off the diet meal plan.
For dinner I will do the same as lunch and only buy a few days worth of food so that I eat fresh foods more regularly. This ensures that I get the added vitamins and minerals that fresh foods have to offer. I like to eat meat almost every night of the week but not all of the meat I eat is red. Often a piece of chicken or pork will do just as nicely for dinner and if cooked well and trimmed and drained of fat then these can also be health for you and should be added to your diet meal plan. Frozen vegetables hold in there nutrients just as well as and sometimes better than the fresh foods do so don’t be afraid of buying frozen. Other than that for suggestions to a good diet meal plan try to buy as much fresh vegetables as possible for your dinners and be moderate with the quantity of each meal.
